Belmont Park is one of two metro racetracks in WA. Located just outside of the Perth city, it is surrounded by the Swan River as well as walking distance to Optus Stadium and Crown Casino. Racing began at this track in the early 1900s and it is now the primary destination for winter racing in Perth, hosting group races including the Roma Cup, Hyperion Stakes and Strickland Stakes.
