About Carnarvon Race Club

Carnarvon Racecourse is located over 800km north of Perth, Western Australia’s capital city and approximately 2km from the town centre. The track boasts stunning views of the Indian Ocean and surrounding Browns Range.

The Gascoyne region has a rich racing history, with the Carnarvon Race Club, who manages the racecourse, being established in 1883. During its almost 140 years in operation, the Carnarvon Race Club has seen an enormous number of influential people be involved and shape the club into what it is today, including many who come from Indigenous descent. Carnarvon Race Club where one of the first clubs to recognise this history, hosting a Racing on Country meeting.

The Carnarvon Racecourse holds meetings from May until September, ending the season with the Carnarvon Cup.
