Derby Cup

Each year in July, the West Kimberley Turf Club holds its annual race meeting, the Derby Cup! This track is one of four in the Kimberley region and has a unique feature of a golf course in the middle of the track.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate upon arrival to the Derby Racecourse.

About West Kimberley Turf Club

The West Kimberly Racecourse is located in Derby, over 2100km northeast of Western Australia’s capital city Perth. The track has a unique feature in that it is surrounded by a golf course.

This racecourse hosts the Derby Cup each year in July and is your typical racing event. It sees locals gather together from neighbouring race clubs and towns. It also provides the perfect reason for Perth residents to escape the cold and head north to the warmer climate.

The Derby Cup is full of racing as well as two-up and live entertainment which runs late into the night.
